Discount Power can send periodic account-related notifications directly to your phone to help you manage your electricity usage and budget. These notifications include:
 

  • When your bill is ready
  • When your bill is due (5 days before due date)
  • When your payment has been confirmed
  • When AutoPay has been canceled
  • When service has been stopped at your request
  • When a disconnect notice or reconnect request has been issued

GET STARTED WITH THESE THREE STEPS: 

  1. Log in to My Account and select Profile.

  2. Click the [Opt-in] button next to Text Notifications and enter your mobile phone number.
  3. Select the type of text messages you'd like to receive.

Discount Power text messages are a convenient way to stay informed about your account, service-related requests, usage, billing and more. Once you opt in, you’ll automatically receive texts based on the preferences you select in your online account. You can manage these preferences at any time.

Call us at 1-877-455-4674 and ask to be opted in to receive account and service-related text messages. After providing the call center agent with your mobile number, you will be sent a welcome message via text message on your mobile device, and you will begin receiving account notifications.*

You can also opt in through your online account. Once you’re logged in, click Profile and click the [EDIT] button next to Contract-Related Text Notifications. From there, you can choose which text notifications you want to receive. 

There are several ways you can opt out of receiving text messages.

  • You can stop receiving text messages at any time by logging into your online account.
  • Once you're logged in, click Profile and click the [EDIT] button next to Contract-Related Text Notifications.
  • From there, you can uncheck the box(es) next to the notifications(s) you want to discontinue.
     

You can also speak with a call center agent at 1-877-455-4674. Tell them you want to opt out of text messages or ask them to remove the cell phone number from your account. Once you have opted out, you will receive a text message from Discount Power Alerts confirming that you are opted out.

Furthermore, your mobile device will be automatically opted out on the due date of your FINAL invoice. You will receive a text message from Discount Power Alerts confirming that you are opted out.
