$50 bill credit for you, $50 bill credit for them. The Empower Your Friends referral program rewards everyone who signs up for Discount Power because of your recommendation. There’s no limit to how many credits you can earn!
Only existing customers with a Texas service address that have a referral ID. Referrals must be new Discount Power residential customers enrolled in a fixed-price plan with at least 10 days of active electricity service with that plan.
Each time you refer a new Discount Power residential customer who is enrolled in a fixed-price plan with at least 10 days of active electricity service with that plan, you qualify to earn a bill credit. The referral credit amount can change based on the current promotional offer.
The bill credit will be applied within two billing cycles after the referred customer has completed 10 days of active electricity service.
No. Bill credits are not redeemable for cash.
For referees (new customers who want to sign up with a referral ID to get the $50), any residential term plan is eligible. Month-to-month plans are not eligible to receive the $50 bill credit.
The referrers (existing customers who give out referral IDs) must be residential customers (SMBs are not eligible) but don’t have to be on a term plan (they can be on a term or month-to-month plan).

The Discount Power referral program is available exclusively to residential customers. Brokers, aggregators, agents, affiliates, and commercial entities are not eligible to participate or receive referral rewards. To qualify for bill credit, referrals must be new Discount Power residential customers in Texas enrolled on a fixed-price plan with a minimum of 10 days of active electricity service on that plan. Active account required at time of credit award to receive credit; bill credit will be applied within two billing cycles after the referred customer has completed 10 days of active electricity service. Bill credit not redeemable for cash. Any disputes relating to eligibility will be determined solely by Discount Power. Discount Power may modify or discontinue this program at any time without notice. Discount Power reserves the right to terminate or suspend any referring customer’s participation in the customer referral program if it suspects misuse, fraud, or abuse of the program.
